As a reinsurance intermediary, we maintain client relationships with a wide range of insurance and reinsurance companies, including companies that are competitors with one another. We do not believe that the existence of such relationships constitutes a conflict of interest, particularly in light of our strict policies regarding confidentiality and nondisclosure of client information.

Standard Reinsurance Brokerage Rates*

  • Pro Rata – Between 2.5% and 5% of the net premium, or between 1.5% and 3.5% of the gross premium
  • Excess of Loss (XOL) – 10% of contract premium
  • London Market XOL – On XOL placements made through a London correspondent broker, the London correspondent broker generally receives an additional 5% of the contract premium (beyond the 10% described above). Reinsurance Solutions placements into the London correspondent broker market are generally made through an Aon affiliated London correspondent broker.
  • Alternative Risk Transfer Market – 20% of the reinsurer’s stated margin.
  • Reinstatement Premium – generally 5% of the contract reinstatement premium for all reinsurers other than Lloyd’s of London. In general, no brokerage is paid on Lloyd’s reinstatement premium.
