David Wayne Spade was born in Birmingham, Michigan on July 2, 1964. His father, Wayne, is a Sales Representative and his mother, Judith, is a writer and magazine editor. He has two brothers, Bryan and Andy. When David was just four years old, his family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. After graduating from Saguaro High School, Spade attended Scottsdale Community College before transferring to Arizona State University. Spade was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and began to find his niche in comedy. While at Arizona State University, David Spade regularly performed the Farce Side Comedy Hour. David dropped out of college to pursue his dream of stand up comedy. He regularly performed at Greasy Tony's Pizza in Tempe, Arizona and comedy hot spots. He also got some television parts in shows including "The Facts of Life", "Baywatch", "ALF", "Monsters", and "Born to Be Wild" and films including "Police Academy".
