Born in Brazil, Mrs. Smith had lived in Linton, before coming to Akron 50 years ago. She was a fitter for Polsky's Department Store, retiring in 1960 with 30 years service. She was a member of Polsky's 20 Year Club, Annuncation Catholic Church, and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She is survived by daughter, Mrs.

He had been employed at the Akron Womans City Club. He is survived by sons, William Scalese of Cleveland, Brian Takacs and David Takacs, both of Akron; brother, George Calman of San Diego, Calif. Marie J. Wiener CUYAHOGA FALLS Marie J. Wiener, 56, of 540 E. Portage Trail, died Tuesday morning at Manor Care. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was a graduate of St.

Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Paterson, N. J. She served as a Captain in the Nursing Corps as an anesthetist. She came to Akron in 1945 and was a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church and the Second Auxiliary Surgical Group.

She is survived by husband, Sanford; sons, Thomas of Washington, D.C. and James of the residence; daughters, Mrs. Beth Volk of Centerville, Mrs. Julie Schneider of Brighton, brothers, Rev. Thomas J.
