27, 2000, after hospital following a long illness. She was born Feb. 17, 1938 in Bay Settlement to the late Albert and Mamie (De Groot) Jacobs. Ethel married Norbert Oct. 4 Wilda in a three-month battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born Sent. 14. 1914. Milwaukee. He was a 1965 graduate of Michigan State University.

Quentin retired as administrator at St. Norbert Abbey in 1993. He lb in Algoma, Ktfl I 10 tun late Charles and Anna (Net-zer) Schmitt. She married Francis Waldecker in Algoma on May 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1984, after which she moved to De Pere.

She loved faith, family and was granddaughter, Laurie (Louis) Benvenuti, Kenosha; two grandsons, Jake (Helen) Vander Zanden, Davis, and Jed Vander Zanden, Arlington, one sister-in-law, Martha Vander Zanden; nieces and nephews. Vannleuwenhoven, Viola M. Viola M. Vannieuwenhoven, 87, 1229 S. Jackson died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000.

She She preceded him in death, Nov. 14, 1996. Henry, with his wife owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Montpelier until retirement. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Dolores Treglowne, Kewaunee; Rita (Gale) Ullman, Casco; three grandchildren, Kevin Ullman, Casco; Kim and Rich Dun-nebacke, Michigan; Pam and Dave Jones, Waukesha; one sister-in-law, Martha Ledvina, Green Bay. 25, 1942, in Coleman. He served in the National Guard for ten years. He married Linda Peterson June 12, 1965, at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Crivitz. The couple resided in the Crivitz area where he was employed by The Wisconsin State Agriculture Dept. as a Meat Inspector.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; two daughters, Lisa Lyons, Fond du Lac; Lori (Scott) Szynanski, Green Bay; one son, Larry (Tami) Mertz, Chicago; four grandchildren, Justine, Kaylee, Raina and Sierra; two brothers, Elburne (Joan) Mertz, Mc-Naughton, Clifford (Sue) Mertz, Crivitz; two sisters, Marie (Frank) Marecek, Black River Falls; Mildred (Ken) Gould, Crivitz. 25, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rowell was born Sept. 1920, in Marinette, Wis. He was the son of the late Edgar and Irma (Hurkman) Rowell and has been a resident of Hermansville for the past 15 years.

He served with the United States Army during World War II in Italy, Okinawa and Africa. Mr. Rowell worked for Northern Paper Co. in Green Bay for over 30 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Hermansville American Legion and the Hermansville senior citizens center.

He volunteered for 12 years in the Norway and Hermansville senior center and was recognized as U.P. Super senior. He was very active in RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) for many years. He loved eagles. He was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Zepnick.

He is survived by his soulmate, Kathryn VandenAvond, Hermansville, one son, Robert Rowell, Green Bay; daughters, Jean Zepnick, Green Bay; Karen (special friend, Pete) Beam, Green Bay; Judy (Bill) Baumgart, Seymour; Susan Rowell, Green Bay; Amanda fiance Jeremiah) VandenAvond, Niagara; and Jennifer Jacques, Marquette, a brother, Richard (Rita) Rowell, Green Bay; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. As many people know, Ethel had a special place in her heart for animals. Ethel was a member of St. Kilian Parish in New Franken. Ward, Orville Douglas Orville Douglas Ward, formerly of Forest County, died unexpectedly Sept. 11. A memorial serv- ice was held Sept. 17 in Bever-ton, Oregon, and his cremains Viola loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, read and go fishing. Her last years were spent at Odd Fellows Nursing Home, where she loved to read and play scrabble.

She always enjoyed it when people came to visit. Bernadine J. Vander Zanden, 89, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at a local hospital. She was born April 5, 1911, in Green Bay, to the late Ernest and Adeline (La Court) Neuman. She graduated from Saint Joseph Academy.

She has been a life long resident of Green Bay and married Norbert J. (Bud) Vander Zanden at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Kent Maes, Racine; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Meg Vander Zanden, Oshkosh; one J' Greiling, F.

Forest Forest F. Greiling, 84, Greenwood, Ind. passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000. Forest was born on April 20, 1916 in Green Bay, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Benecke) Greiling.

He married the former Helen Pierce, she preceded him in death on March 10, 1952. Forest was employed at The U.S. Min-. ing Corp of Engineers for many years until his retirement in 1976. Forest is survived by one son Warren Greiling, Greenwood, one daughter and son-in-law Lynn and Ronald Brethauer, Hobe Sound.

23, 1912, in the Town of Montpe-lier to the late Matt and Anna (Seiner) Ledvina. He married Cecelia Kalcik on Oct. 25, 1933. Green Bay. She enjoyed time spent at the cottage at Chute Lake, fly fishing and making many friends playing cards.
