He graduated from Sycamore Community High School in 1946 and attended Northwestem University, Northem Illinois University, the Universit of Illinois and the Peabody Institute.

In 1956 he graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, where he received his bachelor of music exiucation and in 1962 he graduated from Drake University, Des Moines, lowa, where he received his master of music education degree. He taught vocal music in Mediapolis, lowa; Rock Island. East Moline, Arlingion and Forest View High Schools in Arlington Heights. He also served as assistant principal of Arlingion High School from 1967 until its closing in 1984. Mr.

Ahnquist held the same position at Rolling Meadows High School from 1981 until his retirement in 1986. He served as a choir director and director of music at numerous churches over a 25 year period. His love of music dominated his life as a soloist, a career which he began as a boy soprano in the Chicago area. performing with the Apollo Club and singing in Orchestra Hall several times. Upon receiving his master's of education degree.

he was elecied to Phi Kappa Lanbda, an honorary advanced degree music fraterits. Vincent would like to be remembered as a person who contributed to the advancement of the Kingdom of God through sacred music. He is survived by his wilc, Marge Ann Burdock. whom he married on Nov. 21.

Walter and Glades moved to the Barringion area in 1913. where they fanned for 11 years. Walter became an insurance agent in 1951 and was a lop insurance producer in lake County for 35 years with Country Companies. He received numeros awards and acknowledgements for his accomplishments and dedication.
